"They are going to be surprised by what they see. They don't know if they are encountering just some sort of an accident, an explosion or if it was an intentional act. Actors were recruited to play the role of bombing victims and they did their part. A heavy dose of fake blood and screaming added to the first responders tensions.
The goal was to make the simulation as real as possible. There were body parts mixed in with the debris.

Raytheon Acquired Sarcos' Robotics technology

Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has acquired the robotics technologies and capabilities of Sarcos, a company specializing in micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) and robotics for the entertainment and medical industries. "We look forward to being part of the [Raytheon] IDS team," said Dr. Stephen Jacobsen, president of Sarcos. he added that by joining with Raytheon Sarcos will be better positioned to move our technology from research and development to execution." The US Air Force awarded BAE Systems Electronics and Integrated Solutions, Inc. a $8 million contract to build and demonstrate an 'active electromagnetic' tomography sensor, designed to characterize complex sub-surface objects such as underground facilities or perimeter breaching tunnels.
